UNIQUENESS IN ITS PUREST FORM
The owners of this house were clear that the kitchen would be a key space, and so they endowed it with large windows to make the most of natural light. Always bearing in mind the taste and needs of the client, Infrastructuras Yeste, together with the architect Juan Buch, set us the challenge of designing a kitchen in harmony with the rest of the house. For this reason, we opted for ROKA in porcelain. The combination of premium materials such as stone and wood is always a safe bet.
Walls and doors were clad in the same bush-hammered black colour, creating a homogeneous block that stands out, without stridency, in a restrained and luminous architecture.
The island and the tall units were arranged in parallel, bringing together everything needed for cooking and storage in a compact and organised way. In keeping with the idea of a kitchen with simple, clean lines, we opted to simplify the facades by using a rim profile system and motorising all the doors of the taller units to avoid the presence of handles. The island, located right in the centre, takes on a sculptural form that makes you forget that it is a storage unit.
The worktop and sink were also simplified by merging them into a single piece made of the same material as the rest of the furniture, thus ensuring greater quality and durability.
The end closest to the dining area houses several tall cabinets with electric opening for electrical appliances, service modules with interior drawers and a pull-out unit. The facades of the latter are temporarily concealed on the sides, giving total accessibility to its fully customised interior. It includes illuminated shelves, oven, microwave, wine cooler and an auxiliary work area with worktop and mobile sockets. This makes it ideal as a breakfast area, or for using small electrical appliances without needing to relocate them. To complete the shelving, at both ends there are storage units with backlit panels, one of the many options offered by REKKER to make the stored goods more accessible. Once the unit is closed, everything is tucked away and out of sight, a key factor in a kitchen that is open to other rooms in the house.
Infrastructuras Yeste were familiar with the high quality of our work and knew that REKKER could offer them just what they were looking for. Kitchens designed to assist, tailored to the needs of those who use them rather than the other way round. Solutions to simplify daily work, with high design, quality and functionality standards.
